UWI Open Campus to host its Emancipation lecture

The University of the West Indies (UWI) Open Campus, in collaboration with LegalEase SVG Inc. will commemorate the 178 anniversary of the ending of slavery in the English speaking Caribbean, with a lecture on Thursday July 28, 2016.

The lecture will take place at the UWI Lecture Hall from 7:00pm and will be delivered by Mr. Joseph Ewart Layne, a Grenadian revolutionary, who will speak on the topic “The Grenada Revolution: Insights and Lessons for Small Island States”.

He will share with his Vincentian audience his first-hand experience of the makings and impacts of the Grenada Revolution on Grenada and the rest of the region.
